Divine Cashew Mushroom Gravy
- Makes : 2-3 cups
This gravy is the perfect complement for mashed potatoes and loaves.
Ingredients
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 small onions, diced
- 2 C. mushrooms, sliced
- 2 C. water
- 3 T. nutritional yeast
- 1 t. garlic powder
- 1 t. onion powder
- 3 1/2 T. cashew butter
- 2 T. tamari or substitute
- 1/2 t. sea salt
- 1 T. arrowroot powder
Directions
Step 1
In a small sauce pot, sauté garlic and onions, then add mushrooms and simmer until vegetables are soft.
Step 2
In a blender, blend remaining ingredients. Pour mixture into the pot and simmer, stirring often until the arrowroot thickens the gravy. Do not boil.
