RefreshZing Lemon Spice Drink
- Makes : two tall glasses
The fresh herbs in this delicious zingy drink add phytonutrients to your breakfast or snack. Packed with flavor and health; this is a fun drink to share with friends on a hot summer day.
Ingredients
- 5 or so bananas, peeled and frozen
- fresh parsley, hand full
- fresh basil, half hand full
- 1/2-1 cup key lime or lemon juice, fresh squeezed
- 2 Tbl. raw agave syrup or dates, or to taste
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
(Optional - blend with minced fresh ginger, to taste, and a touch of ground Stevia instead of agave or dates.)
Directions
Step 1
Blend all ingredients, except cinnamon, in a blender or VitaMix with just enough water to cover bananas.
Step 2
Stir in cinnamon, or lightly pulse blender to stir. Pour into two tall clear glasses and garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top along with a fresh mint or parsley sprig and perch a thin slice of key lime on the side of the glass.
